  • Amazing program!! My three year old LOVES going! The teachers have a true love for Jesus and pass this love to the children! Watching her skip into her classroom with a smile makes it so much easier for mommy!

  • Both my children attend Ridgedale Mother's Day Out. We found the program when searching our local area for options when my first born was turning two. At that time, we lived off Pleasant Ridge Rd. and Ridgedale Baptist was very close. We have since moved out further west in Knoxville, but continue to make the drive because I cannot imagine a better program. And the price is right!

As a new mother, I remember being pretty apprehensive about leaving my baby boy with strangers. However, that anxiety was quickly diffused when his teacher took him into her arms and welcomed him into the class. My son has always been a restless sleeper and I was worried about how he would do at nap time. Well, he didn't sleep at first, but one day when I came to pick him up, I saw his teacher lightly stroking his hair while he lay on his mat trying to soothe and comfort him. She was loving him like her own. I knew then that he was in good hands. My son also was not talking much before starting the program. He was behind where the doctor said he was supposed to be. We were a little worried, we knew he knew words but he was not using them. About a month into the program his vocabulary and sentence formation exploded! He went from being behind to being way ahead of other children his age. He has made so many friends and the teachers share in his growth.

We decided to enter my youngest in the program at a year old and have not regretted it. She is not as outgoing as my son and the socialization has really pulled her out of her shell. She started with the same teacher that my son had when he started which was perfect for us because I knew that she was wonderful.

The director and the teachers really engage the children and organize fun, creative and stimulating activities for the children. My children have learned how to interact in a group and behave in a classroom environment while exploring and having fun. Ridgedale regularly has themed days, like water day, bike day, super hero day, etc. which the kids just love. There is an underlying faith foundation that is formative but not intrusive. I worried a little because we are not Baptist but the message is universal and the effect is positive.

My oldest is now four and will be going to kindergarten next year. I considered enrolling him in a more stringent preschool program but decided against it. I feel that Ridgedale's program meets the growth and learning requirements that I am seeking. They will be working on SMART goals this year along with numerous academic focused activities. There will be plenty of time for him to be in a completely structured classroom. I want him to be my happy little boy learning in a healthy environment for now and I know that he is in a good place at Ridgedale.

  • We have been sending at least one of our daughters to Ridgedale MDO since 2011. We LOVE the program - smaller classroom sizes than some of the bigger churches in the area, lots of attention on each child, and great preparation for Kindergarten. These teachers truly love on the kids and they plan some fun activities and learning strategies to teach them with!

  • My oldest boy has been there over 2 years and my youngest started in February. I couldn't have asked for a better program. My boys love "going to school." They adore their teachers and seeing their friends. They are learning valuable lessons in the program that will prepare them in school and life. The devotion and love that Ms. Kelley and her teachers have for our children is beyond extraordinary. They have been a true blessing to our family.

  • We are so grateful for Ridgedale MDO! This is the first program my four year old has ever done, and they've made the transition so wonderful for him. He adores his teacher, and loves to tell me all the fun things he's learned. He's entering the Pre-K class in the fall, and they've already started teaching him how to hold a pencil, write his name, trace lines, and have even gotten him interested in crafts! He looks forward to going, and the bedtime routine goes easier on 'school' nights because I tell him he has to go to sleep in order to go to 'school' the next day. The staff is absolutely wonderful, they're teaching the kids such great things, and they all just pour love and goodness into each day and child. I highly recommend this program. They're doing really great things here, and I'm honored my son gets to participate.
